Rams Hill Golf Club in Borrego Springs (between San Diego and Palm Springs) is a gorgeous 18-hole Tom Fazio designed championship facility that was rated in 2017 as the third best resort course in California, after Pebble Beach and Spyglass! The course was also listed by Golfweek as # 4 on the best places to play list. Finally, Golf advisors golfers rated Rams Hill as the Best Course in the Country in 2016!

The layout plays along manicured, landscaped desert with some gradual elevation changes from tee to green, Golfers will encounter stunning mountain vistas that include native hiking trails and arroyos, along with pristine water features.

The clubhouse has a full service restaurant/lounge (serving breakfast, lunch and dinner) and outdoor patio with great golf course vistas. There are locker-rooms with showers as well as a full service pro shop. Practice facilities consist of putting greens, a short game area and targeted grass range. Scorecards indicate the days front, middle or back pin locations, and GPS on the carts provide yardage information from tee to green.

Golfers can choose from 5 sets of tee boxes that provide challenge and fairness. The tips play to a championship level of 7232 yards with a men's slope of 141 and women's 158. The 4 remaining tee areas play to distances and slopes measuring 6830/136 for men and 145 for women, , 6369/131 for men and 139 for women, 5824/124 for men and 132 for women, and 4979 with a slope of 114 for men and 121 for ladies playing from the forward tees. The two back tees present some challenging carries for avid golfers, and the 3 front sets are infinitely more playable.

Strategically placed sand bunkers. including deep fairway traps, number about 75 in total, and water hazards come into play on 8 holes. The fairways are rolling with significant landing zones bordered by desert or water, and with penal sand bunkers that call for accurate tee shots and approaches.

With incredible views of the surrounding landscaped desert and mountains, great facilities along with top notch service, and a beautiful layout that can be enjoyed by all levels of players, Rams Hill is a MUST PLAY. Additionally, much time and energy has been spent on this property to promote positive environmental impacts. The drive from Palm Springs is a beautiful one that takes about 75 minutes. It is a bit longer from downtown San Diego - but also is a gorgeous drive, which makes a visit that much more worthwhile.
