CIMARRON GOLF RESORT Pebble Course (short course) 760-770-6060
Palm Springs golf course review
The Cimarron Golf Resort features two beautiful layouts - an 18-hole championship design and an 18-hole short course. Located just a few minutes from the Palm springs International Airport, this property obviously offers several options for visitors to the area - particularly for a convenient arrival or departure round. The photos in this review are of the Pebble or short course.
The Pebble course features 17 par threes that range from 64 to 228 yards, with 1 short par four that plays to 315 yards from the back tees. There are 3 sets of tee boxes that measure 3020, 2645 and 2266 yards.
This course is fun for avid golfers yet playable for beginners, as players will encounter sand bunkers and water hazards on only the first and 18th holes. a convenient feature is the Pro Shot GPS golfers will find on all carts, providing exact yardages to the front, middle and back of the greens. Pin Placement placards are mounted on each cart as well.
There are gorgeous mountain vies at every turn, and coyotes and other wildlife often can be spotted meandering through the layout. The green complexes are often raised and mildly undulating, but without the sand bunkers - so up and down from slightly offline approaches are doable.
Visitors here can enjoy the same amenities as those playing the championship Boulder Course, which plays to 6782 yards from the tips. Not enough time to spend 4-5 hours on a course - then the Pebble is a fun and recommended alternative. Playing both courses and enjoying lunch in-between is also a good idea. The restaurant is known for its good food and service. For more info, visit the properties' own website by clicking here.
