Palm Springs golf course review
Palm Desert Resort Country Club ( not to be confused with Palm Desert Country Club which is a totally different facility located just a few minutes away), is a par 72 championship course that features spacious fairways set amongst lush landscaping and beautiful mountain backdrops.
Numerous lakes create water hazards on 9 of the holes, and 65 white soft sand bunkers are strategically located near the landing zones off the tee, or situated green-side. The hazards create challenge for all levels of players, while the mildly sloping putting surfaces and fairly level terrain make Palm Desert Resort an enjoyable round for the novice.
On property is a full service practice facility with targeted grass range, short game area with sand bunker, plus putting green. The clubhouse features a pro shop, restaurant/lounge offering breakfast, lunch and dinner menus, while also catering to special events.
The yardage marking system consists of 100, 150 and 200 yard stakes on the fairways of all par fours and fives, with color coded flags indicating the day's front, middle or back hole locations. Golfers will generally find ample room off the tee, and considerable room greenside to recover from slightly offline approach shots. The gently raised green complexes reward good shots,
